Strategic Design Timeline

Phase 1

Planning
December 2021 to January 2022

Diné College Board of Regents and Executive Team met in a collaborative discussion to create the 6 strategic themes to guide the creation of the future goals and objectives of the institution. The strategic themes will guide and shape the overall Strategic Design.

Phase 2

Outreach
February 2022 to May 2022

Our institution plans on meeting with students, faculty, staff, alumni, K-12 educators and administrators, tribal/county/state leaders, business entrepreneurs, local businesses, community organizations and community members in the form of town hall meetings at various locations. The College will present the strategic themes, intent, and purpose of the Strategic Design at the townhall meetings. Our College President, Provost, Vice-President of Finance & Administration, Vice President of Student Affairs, and Vice-President of External Campuses, Centers, and Micro-sites will have a discussion with attendees regarding their recommendations, feedback, and questions. The outreach locations will be hosted on and off the Navajo Nation. Events will be conducted in-person, virtually or hybrid.

Phase 3

Review, Assessment & Modification
June 2022 to July 2022

We will formulate internal and external Stakeholder Committees to review and prioritize the recommendations and feedback collected from all town hall meetings to develop the future strategic goals and objectives. There will be a review, assessment, and modification period of this phase.

Phase 4

Implementation Begins
August 2022

The institution will explore and create an implementation plan of the new Strategic Design.

Phase 5

Completion
September 2022

The final review will include an approval by the Diné College Board of Regents. The final strategic design will be submitted to the Higher Learning Commission.
